2nd round: Groups 3 & 4 classes

We continued with the classes, and it was the turn for group 3 and 4 to give the class. I couldn’t be in the classes of these groups as I had obligatory training at my job and that was the reason for my absence馃槵. But let's start with the amazing classes that both groups taught that day馃槃.


The group number 3 started the class with a recap of the simple present structure as a warm up馃挭. After that they did a pretty good activity in which they presented 2 pictures馃柤️, and the students had to choose the image that best represented the action the teacher was saying馃棧️. Also, they had an activity where a video about daily routines was played, and students needed to answer the worksheet馃摑 that the teacher gave to them. They presented different practices, and one of them was about having a conversation馃挰 with their peers answering different kinds of questions like "What do you do on Christmas馃巹 or on your birthday馃巶?" To end the class, the students made a line, in which one student had to say an activity, then the other repeated the same activity adding a new one, to make a chain馃敆 and finally create a routine.


Then was the turn of group 4 to teach. They started with the hot potato馃 as a warm up, and the teacher asked different questions about their daily routines. They did a previous recap about the simple present structure giving the students vocabulary about the daily routines. Then, the students watched a video馃憖 where they needed to repeat the sentences that the video was saying馃棧️. Also, they gave some worksheets馃摑 to the students where it contained a reading and different questions❔, after that the students compared their questions with the class. Another activity was about writing down✍️ their daily routine, and then they had to read it for the class. Finally, they asked questions to the students about what they learned that day馃槉.



Both groups did a great job despite having few students馃槄. They gave everything they could for the students to learn something new that day馃憤馃徎.

PPP - Presentation, Practice & Production

Ladies and Gentlemen welcome back to my blog! 馃檶馃憖 This week’s topic was PPP – lesson planning framework. We learned that an English class is composed by three important parts that are Presentation, Practice and Production馃槉. Thanks to this we can understand how a class can be structured to help all students achieve the objectives set by the teacher from the start馃憣. This approach consists of the following stages: Presentation: In here, basically is where the teacher take place, give an introduction and explain the new topic that students will be learning. Practice:  Is where students practice what they have learn in the class from their teacher. Here the teacher must do at least two activities: The free practice is where students can experiment through the language and making mistakes is ok.
