PPP - Presentation, Practice & Production

Ladies and Gentlemen welcome back to my blog!🙌👀

This week’s topic was PPP – lesson planning framework. We learned that an English class is composed by three important parts that are Presentation, Practice and Production😊. Thanks to this we can understand how a class can be structured to help all students achieve the objectives set by the teacher from the start👌.

This approach consists of the following stages:
  • Presentation: In here, basically is where the teacher take place, give an introduction and explain the new topic that students will be learning.
  • Practice: Is where students practice what they have learn in the class from their teacher. Here the teacher must do at least two activities: The free practice is where students can experiment through the language and making mistakes is ok. The controlled practice, there is not that much margin of errors in the activity.
  • Production: Students basically produce everything they now about the topic. Here it is more the students' time than the teacher's because they apply real-life tasks to dominate the language.

In conclusion, the PPP (Presentation, Practice, Production) way is useful for teaching and learning. It starts by showing new ideas, then practicing with help, and finally using them in real situations. This works for different learning styles, letting students use what they learn. Going from practicing together to doing things on their own helps students become more confident, aids them learn from mistakes, and understand the material. This approach remains valuable to teachers and students, helping them achieve successful learning objectives.

This is the entry for this week, and I hope you like it. See you soon in next week’s entry, stay safe, and bye, bye!😋✌
