Final session: Groups 7 & 8 classes

Ladies and Gentlemen welcome back to my blog!馃檶馃憖

We came to the end of teaching the students who were coming to learn a little of what we know, so let's see a little of what this last class was like.

As a warm up activity they played the hangman game to make the students have a good time and have fun. The teachers based their class on listening and gave the topics of hours, numbers, a recap of “there is and there are” and did practice with the students. As the main activity they played a video in which they talked about the daily routine and the hours in which the students had to listen and write the correct answer and then they reviewed them.

Then we had a short break in which Mister Orlando gave us a cookie and I feel it was a very nice gesture from him to us and the students, as it reminded me of everything that takes place to prepare and teach a class.

Then we had the second class, which taught the same topics as the previous group but focused on reading skills. The warm up was a lot of fun as they used a toy clock for which the teacher called out a time and the students had to mark the correct time on it. They gave some vocabulary and did a reading activity in which they had to answer true or false according to the text. They also did another activity in which the teachers checked if the students had learned about the class.

Finally, the students were given a gift to thank them for being present in the classes.

Studying this subject was kind of love and hate for me because teaching is something that is out of my comfort zone, but thanks to teacher Orlando I was capable to do it. This subject taught me a lot of things like the understanding of language teaching, diverse teaching methods, cultural sensitivity, and individualized learning approaches. And it's not just about imparting knowledge, it's about fostering a passion for languages and an understanding of the world through effective communication. Many thanks to Lic. Orlando because he was part of this chapter of our lives, showing us the experience as a teacher that he has and telling us to never give up on our dreams, because we are all very capable of achieving what we set out to accomplish in our lives. Just to finish, and as I always say… This is not an easy role and to be a teacher you are born with that gift.

This is the end of this blog and my last entry for this subject, I hope you like it a lot. Be safe, and bye, bye!馃構✌
